WELCOME TO GSCS
GOVERNMENT STREET CHRISTIAN SCHOOL IS NOT JUST ABOUT SCHOOL BUT ABOUT CULTURE. WE PARTNER WITH PARENTS IN FULFILLING THEIR RESPONSIBILTY FOR TRAINING THEIR CHILDREN (PROVERBS 22:6; EPHESIANS 6:4) BY PROVIDING A NURTURING ENVIRONMENT FOR SPIRITUAL, INTELLECTUAL, AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT.
OUR CHALLENGING ACADEMIC PROGRAMS ARE DELIVERED IN AND RE-ENFORCED THROUGH A BIBLICALLY, CHRIST CENTERED ETHOS. EVERYTHING WE DO FROM ACADEMICS TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION TO EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IS PURSUED WITH THE GOAL OF GLORIFYING JESUS CHRIST. WE ENDEAVOR TO HELP TRAIN-UP CHILDREN SO THEY MAY FULFILL THEIR GOD-GIVEN POTENTIAL IN EVERY SPHERE OF LIFE WHILE ENGAGING THE SURROUNDING CULTURE AS ENTHUSIASTIC, RESILIANT, AND FAITHFUL DISCSIPLES FOR CHRIST (1 PETER 2: 11,12).
IN THE NEWS
As news spreads that MCPSS has delayed opening for on-campus classes until September 1st and thereafter will conduct classes virtually for nine weeks, GSCS has been inundated with questions regarding our start date and class format. Government Street Christian will open on-campus, traditional school as planned on Monday, August 10th. We will host a Meet-the-Teacher day on Friday, August 7th. Scheduling information will be available next week regarding specific times for families to meet their teacher. Be assured that GSCS will take every reasonable precaution to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students. GSCS class sizes will remain at approximately twelve students per teacher in order to be more effective in instruction and practicing COVID-19 prevention measures. The GSCS COVID-19 Update provides a detailed detailed description of the GSCS COVID-19 plan.
